“Paint is my first tool for transforming

a space. Nothing is safe from me—I’ve painted

floors, walls, furniture, even kitchen counters.”

Despite its large windows the office was originally

very gloomy—“dark floors, dark windows, all the

trim work was dark,” says Trenna. Twenty hours

of brush work and three coats of white paint

brightened the space, floor to ceiling. The kids have

a computer right next to Trenna’s so the family can

work together in the same room.
